4th Of July is only a week away so today I am going to post some Patriotic items I made recently.
These are items that I made for a Red, Shite & Blue swap on the Cricut MB. I have a very hard time putting together  layouts without the actual pictures, but this one came out okay. I also made my partner a beachy layout.

Layouts

I have been doing the LID Challenge on the Cricut MB. I post a couple sketches  every week or 2 and anyone can join in and do a layout by following the skteches. There is no commitment to do these and they certainly help get me motivated!
Here a a couple more that I did recently. Both of these are pictures of the display at the Nature Conservatory at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas during Dec 2010. Unfortunately, the display was just getting started when we visited in 2011.
I used the MS Drippy Goo punch for the ice and I inked some white flowers to go with the color of the layout with the polar bears. The bears in the display were actually made of flowers!!!!!!!!!!!

Another 6 months

I get so involved with work, life, trips and crafting that I actually forget all about my Blog!!!!
Since I was here last, my husband and I have been to Las Vegas, Jamaica and Aruba. I'll start with a few pictures of layouts that I did of these trips.

A few layouts using page maps

These layouts were done for the LID Challenge on the MB use page maps.
The top layout I did using a picture that I took years ago. I used a photo program to take out all the color except the ornage on the Monarch. I love the picture and it worked well in the layout.
The background paper on the Alan Jackson layout was printed on my computer. I have a 12X12 printer and I love being able to make any background I want.
The 3rd layout is with some of my daylily pics.  Eventually I'd like to do a layout of each of the color daylilies that I have.

 Friendly Iguanas
DH fooling around while coming down from MT Hooiberg. There are 560 steps to get to the top.
Having fun at Senor Frog's!!!!! We gave the hats to some young kids on our way back to out timeshare!!!!

Jamaica

Here are some layouts that I did of our trip to Jamaica. We went to Negril and Rick's cafe where we watched the cliff divers. DH jumped off one of the smaller ones but plans on doing it again!!! The sunset was breathtaking!!!

This is her apartment in Manila.

Layouts for Rebecca

I have been trying to get some layouts done for my daughter's album before she gets home. I have done quite a few and here is one of my favorites.

I love this photo of my her sitting on the wall in Narragansett RI. I wanted to do a simple layout using the photo and the quote that I found. I think they go perfect together. If you can't read it, it says "The voice of the sea, speaks to the soul".

Vintage Layout

I have been doing vintage ATCs for a swap on the Cricut MB; so when the new weekly sketch came out for the LID challenge, I decided to make it vintage.
These are graduations pictures of my DD and myself.
I made the right side border using Accent Essentials and the title and dates were done using Storybook. The background paper came from a K & Company stack and the rest of the papers were Bazzill.

My new friend Fiestafan from the SAC monthly Swap on cricut.com did a beautiful layout for me of my Dad.

I tried to make a layout of my Mom which would go together with the one fiestafan did. Although I couldn't get the same papers and have never done anything vintage, I think the two layouts go well together. The blue/green background papers go together better than they look in these pictures.

Layout

I think it is time to post a few layouts.
This layout was for a swap on the Cricut MB. To make a layout without pictures was very challenging for me. The theme for this layout was special places. I love the beach so I used the LAB cartridge and did something I have never done before. NO color.
I think it turned out well.
